Reflection of Stream
This site is at the new Cascades Campus at Oregon State University. The artwork consists of three freestanding sculptural compositions that visually interconnect across the campus. The artist began with the exploration of the essential elements to learn and to gain knowledge since this was the first public university to be built in fifty years. The artist chose the natural energies of wind and water for the design concept. These energies are the metaphors for the journey of learning and express the importance of freethinking, resilience, perseverance, reflection and the possibilities of change.
